Telling your boss that you are quitting can be a really demanding experience.
everyone knows that a company must go one, irrespective of who comes and goes. But over the years when we work for an organization, if we are really lucky we also get bosses who make our work place that much more enjoyable.
It is never easy to tell them that we are putting down our papers no matter how genuine or compelling our reasons.
The one lesson I learnt is that it is better to give them prior notice instead of informing them at the last minute or worse bring up a situation where they might learn the news from some one else.
Also, you can clear the table for yourself by completing any pending issues that are yours to be dealt with and also creating enough back up for yourself on the floor so that the business/process does not suffer.
This is a small world we are in and we never know when the same person will be our boss again! So it is better to clear the air ans maintain an excellent rapport with our earlier bosses!!
